About The Plagiarism Tester
With
easy-access to the Web, it is not surprising that many
students are trying to get away with copying chunks of
text they find online and pasting them into their own
essays. Often, many students don't realize this is wrong
until they get caught. Copying part or all of someone
else's work, without giving credit to them, is called Plagiarism
(often incorrectly spelled plagiarizm, plagerism or
plagairism).
This
tool allows you to check if you are likely to get caught
- it simply runs a Google query for your text, and
returns any exact matches it finds. If it returns anything,
you could be in trouble.
It's
not foolproof, but gives you a good indication if you
are liable to get caught plagiarizing... and the
consequences could be severe.
